The realization of ideas

Maybe you’ve just started to deal with the topic of self-employment and entrepreneurship, or maybe you’ve been researching for a few months.
The flood of information today is almost endless. Even if this basically brings many advantages, this flood can also quickly bury you. And under all sorts of feelings. From motivation, to confusion, to despair and finally perhaps even in fear. In fear of not being good enough, of failing, of possibly losing money or of not gaining one at all. You name it!

The power of one’s own thoughts and feelings

Personally, I’m more of a very sensitive, emphatic personality. I usually feel the feelings of everyone present as soon as I enter a room and unfortunately I also tend to quickly experience certain feelings of fear or even panic. Even people who suffer from the so-called imposter syndrome , like me from time to time, tend to judge themselves overcritically, which can be the beginning of the next panic attack.

Coherences

At this point you are probably wondering what one has to do with the other?!
Information and feelings are interdependent. To date, there is still no consensus among experts on how exactly a panic attack actually develops.

Variant 1:

We see/experience something, our brain processes this information, interprets it as danger and then feelings such as fear and panic arise which only then lead to physical symptoms such as sweating, palpitations, shortness of breath, etc.

Variant 2:

Our body first breaks out in sweat, develops palpitations and shortness of breath, which then leads to feelings of fear and panic, which our brain now attributes to danger and interprets that this must inevitably be related to something we are seeing/experiencing.

Why this matters

Wow… Pretty confusing, isn’t it? In any case, the following is clear: Information + Interpretation = Feeling or Feeling + Interpretation = Information or Information + Feeling = Interpretation.
What I want to say is that no matter how much you inform, learn, study, think you know, don’t think you know, there is never a point at which it would be measurable from the outside whether you are ready to start a company and run it successfully… or to climb Mount Everest, whatever your current dream is right now. And no, an academic degree unfortunately says nothing about the former. I know some people who even have master’s degrees and yet have worked in minimum wage jobs for years. Because they were not willing to take on a job with more responsibility and more complex duties.
Any information is useless to you without your personal interpretation and what you feel. And the other way around, when you feel something and interpret your environment about it, you get the motivation to create something in the first place.

Information

By the way, the term information comes from the Latin informare, which originally meant not only to explain something to someone, to explain, to inform someone, as we use it colloquially today.
It meant shaping something, creating something, creating something, both in the technological and biological sense!
This is the foundation on which you build your business. If you don’t do this because you might be carrying out someone else’s idea, someone else’s idea, or someone else’s wishes (e.g. your parents), it will most likely not be a successful business. Because you are unique, no other person on this planet thinks 100% like you or feels like you 100% like you.

Negative beliefs

Maybe you think: “Oh, that’s already there” or “she can do it better anyway”, or maybe “I’ll never make it”. Or maybe you fear criticism from others. How someone interprets their environment (and thus inevitably you and what you do) has to do for the most part with this person himself and only to a tiny small extent with you.
Of course, honest, well-intentioned feedback can take us incredibly far and we should all be capable of self-reflection.
But negative criticism, the kind of criticism that we are all so often afraid of, has no justification in the vast majority of cases, brings you absolutely no added value and is therefore non of your business! 😉

Begin

You don’t have to read 50 books or complete a master’s degree before you can finally start a business or start realizing your biggest dreams. You can or must do this permanently on the side. Whenever you doubt, you think of the simple formulas I gave you above. Then you only change the factor you need to get back into action or to shift your fear, feelings back towards happiness and joy.
Because with your actions you bring something into the world that, at best, enriches others.

Win-Win

Whatever your dream is. If you check your ideas and your intention to see if it helps people, maybe even makes them happy and improves, facilitates or beautifies their lives and the answer is yes, then you will also succeed. Especially if you don’t give up. Setbacks are no reason to give up. They’re just educational and show you a way to make things even better. If you develop a mindset where “failure” no longer exists, you can create anything you can imagine. The only thing that can hold you back is your own imagination and fear of failure.

Result

Nothing happens overnight, even though it may seem like it to some people. They have probably already come a long way. The experience you gain, the new skills you learn and the self-confidence that comes with your acquired competence is something that no one can take away from you. I think it’s important to do things for the right reasons and values. If you start something with the intention of perhaps gaining fame or “just” getting rich quickly, you are also handing it over to the outside. Because both are factors that come exclusively from outside. You have no control over it. This is quite rehearsal, because it will cause stress and you will constantly run after an affirmation from others. But when you start something with the intention of creating an enrichment for others, then you are not trying to pull something into your life desperately, but you are sending something out. That’s an immense difference.
Have you ever started a business? Are you toying with the idea of starting a business? Do you have any concerns or fears about this topic? Feel free to let me know in the comments.

I wish you a successful week.

All the best,

Christina
